What is Alsoth?
The name alsoth is an abbreviation of the sentence “a little shack on the hill” and used as one of my brandings, the idea behind it is that “a little shack on the hill” is a visualized place of my own creative mind and/or safe space where I let my mind bring it’s imagination to life and to visualization.
My style
Similar to this character on the left I like to draw different characters with my own style and twist, my style consists of mostly hand drawn art with simple shading and my signature face design.
Most of my art consist of doodles and cartoons; stuff I make off the top of my head with alot of fantasy and distinct fashion inspired clothing on the characters. Clothing fashion is something that really inspires me so being able to draw characters with unique clothing really opens up idea’s
Who am I?
My name is Rens van Blaricum, I am 16 years of age. I am a really creative and optimistic person who enjoys working with others. I enjoy learning from other peoples feedback, experiences and train of thoughts.
People never stop learning and there’s always something you could or could’ve done better so I like learning thru other people their different perspectives to improve on the stuff that I overlook in my own perspective.
What do I do?
I go to school, I am taking the course “media designer” where I do anything that has to do with designing from logos to websites and my own creative mindspace.
In my freetime I am a music producer. I take alot of my inspiration from music and can’t live without it. I learnt music production, singing, mixing and mastering without any courses or any schools thru friends, trial and error and the internet.
I am also really active on the internet. Carrying my own brand thru my music production to connecting and taking inspiration from other (clothing) Designers and artists. Building connections from the netherlands to all over the world.
